All about Jen - 25 Random Things
1- I don’t like sauce. (Salad Dressing, Condiments, etc.)
2- I LOVE baking! Cooking is OK, but baking is the best. Yesterday, Ben and I took a Cooking with Chocolate class at Sur laTable. Simply Fabulous!
3- I was born in Minneapolis, MN. I still call it “the homeland”.
4- I am a compulsive organizer. I have a label machine that I just love to use. It makes me sleep better at night knowing that everything is where is should be.
5- My favorite dessert is an untainted Chocolate Cake.
6- I did not like seafood until the middle of 2008. Laura Francisco made the most amazing Cod chowder. I have branched out and now like a small variety of white fish.
7- When I was young I learned to play the piano and then the flute. 20+ years later I can still play them both.
8- In March of 2008 I broke my finger into 6 pieces while playing dodgeball. I caught the ball, that was important to me. It required surgery to put it back together – Stainless Steele pin and all. We called it “The Claw”.
9- I coach a Special Olympics Swim Team – the Eastside Indians. I love it – our swimmers are just the coolest. If anyone wants to volunteer – just let me know!
10- I always wear glasses or contacts. I like variety.
11- I am intrigued by reality shows. For some reason they make me feel really normal. Kind of like going to the DMV. Why is it so easy to get a driver’s license?
12- I am very impatient. I have been working on being less impatient for quite some time.
13- I don’t believe it is possible to own too many shoes or handbags.
14- I am a huge fan of live music. My first concert was NKOTB (New Kids on The Block) – the last was Coldplay or maybe Bruce Hornsby. Can’t remember.
15- I was born with the genetic defect of NO SHAME. We are a rare breed.
16- Karaoke. I will only sing “Baby Got Back” by Sir Mix-A-Lot. It is very impressive.
17- I have ripped my pants wide open 3 different times. All were VERY funny and probably hard to forget. 1st Time: Doing deep knee bends at home to stretch out my newly washed jeans. 2nd Time: While exiting a FULL Shuttle Express van. My pants got stuck on the inside of the door… long story. It could win prize money. 3rd Time: Getting into Ben’s car at a co-worker’s house. We were en-route to a concert in West Seattle. Again… long story. It will probably happen again… Priceless.
18- I have been backed into 3 times at the drive-thru cash machine. I no long have that car, bank with Bank of America or EVER go to the drive-thru cash machine.
19- I really like European cars. Manual transmission please. No… “Tip-Tronic or DSG” does NOT count!
20- Financial planning is something that I really like to do – Maybe too much. It is another thing that helps me sleep better at night.
21- Joe Minnich is my oldest friend. I think he is pretty amazing and I miss him a ton. He still lives in Minnesota along with the rest of his family. I cherish the time we get to spend together – even if it only happens once every 5 years.
22- My passport photo is ridiculous. I look like Charlize Theron in Monster. Not cute. If I remember right – Lindsay Hanculak also has a photo like that. It might be her driver’s license. We frequently get asked if we are sisters – usually we just go with it.
23- I really enjoy animals. I wanted to be a vet when I went off to WSU. Then I realized that I can’t handle it when they are ill.
24- I am often called an instigator. Listen – Is it really my fault that people like to push the limits when I am around?
25- Yellow is my favorite color.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” — Mark Twain

MulvannyG2 - 2008 Golf Tournament
Golf, Anyone?

Oh - It was wet and cold. Our golfing was nothing short of pathetic. Ben's cart driving skills were very impressive.
Ben won a new driver in the raffle! Yippee!

Special Olympics @ Seahawks
It was a day full of dreams for 100 Special Olympic Athletes from around the State of Washington. What a cool day! I know that a lot of people wouldn't find this nearly as exciting as I do, but hey... I am not concerned. In the summer of 2008 I won/purchased a day with the Seahawks for the swim team. It was a big day - for everyone. Ben was our photographer - he did an outstanding job. The Seahawks were phenomenal with all the athletes. So... a big thanks to everyone that made this day possible.
This is a picture of our team outside of the VMAC (Virginia Mason Athletic Complex). Enjoy!
